We’ve always been selective with our projects–meaning we take on a limited number and only those that we really want to dive into.
Our core team includes founder and lead designer Max Mogensen, project manager Catherine Tanous and lead developer Sam Brown. We also rely on a small group of highly skilled creators and coders as needed.
Our combined backgrounds touch multiple fields: journalism, event management, public relations, computer science, nonprofit organizing and fundraising–to name a few.
Today, we work with pens, tablets, computers, cameras and copy. We use Adobe Lightroom, the old-school darkroom (well maybe not that one in a minute), Instagram, Ruby on Rails and JavaScript.

We helped launch the A. Jain brand more than five years ago, creating art and establishing social media, in addition to building their e-commerce platform.
In 2022, A. Jain introduced their newe line, Urban Chic–inspired by their hometown, New York. For the launch of this collection, we helped with photography, new art assets and updating the A. Jain site and sales portal.
This added to a growing body of art assets, videos and graphics that we've crafted for use on A. Jain's social media channels, with partner retailers, at trade shows and online.

The new Colby Co. website needed to showcase the company culture: employee-centered, imaginative, collaborative and professional.
After many years with their previous site, the company also wanted something more dynamic and engaging, but without requiring a custom platform or extensive development.
Using their branding and inspired by the staff, we envisioned a new user experience, outlined the important UX pathways, then designed and developed a customized WordPress theme.

Before launching in 2022, this Maine-based cannabis producer wanted to establish a very specific identity.
The company founders have backgrounds in medicine, so wellness has always been central to the company's culture. When dreaming up their brand identity, we were tasked with embodying this health and wellness background while alluding to their new endeavor, tech-forward cannabis production and retail.

The Maine State Museum needed a new plan to stay connected with visitors and members–not just because Covid was forcing people inside, but because the museum was about to undertake a two-year closure and renovation.
We analyzed the museum's existing communications channels and helped them establish a process for managing and planning their messaging–establishing a unified organizational voice, prioritizing the messages and better understanding which audiences were connectng through different channels.

We've worked with Waban–which serves kids and adults with disabilities through all sorts of awesome programming–for 10 years. Their old website, developed in 2017, needed an update.
They had new programming and content to share, and the old site had become hard to use and edit, with pages and pieces added over the years–a common issue.
We designed a new, stream-lined WordPress site, cutting down the content and focusing on a specified and simple user flow. We also made sure the new, customized WordPress theme was simple enough to be edited by Waban staff.
